Water Street Art Gallery welcomed an enthusiastic crowd to their opening celebration in April of 2009. The enterprising artists selected a quaint location in historic downtown Sapulpa, located just off of old Route 66 for this one of a kind art gallery serving the Tulsa area.
After remodeling the space, which includes an exposed 80 foot brick wall, a vintage pressed tin ceiling, and a nice big room well lit for classes, the artists knew they had created a wonderful place.
In addition to showcasing beautiful fine art by regional artists, our co-op provides a location to teach. We offer classes in painting, portraiture, drawing, photography, jewelry, mixed media, and demonstrations for adults and children.
Word about this little gem travels fast. Our events page on the website is full of information about our guest artists, 6 x 6 show, book signings, trunk shows, workshops, and other special events.
Information about our featured member artists is found on our website and blog . You will want to visit often and join the other "followers" from around the world! The gallery looks forward to continuing to share, teach, and support arts activities in northeastern Oklahoma.
DAN ROBINSON - WORKSHOP
Water Street Art Gallery is proudly hosting a 3 Day Workshop by Arizona Fine Artist Dan Robinson to be held in the gallery classroom Friday-Sunday, February 26-28, 2010. The workshop welcomes beginning to professional and is open to all mediums. Subjects that will be covered include the importance of inital preparation sketches, the property of light, translating shapes and 3 dimensional form as well as value, color and composition.
